Située au cœur de la ville, elle est plus qu'un sanctuaire : c'est l'âme de la cité.
C'est un des lieux les plus anciens de Manosque (tombes des Ier-IIIème siècles, première église Notre Dame (Vème siècle) reconstruite au Xème sous le nom Notre Dame Romigier.
